Azure Green : Automatic

Our beautiful Azure Green is now available in an Automatic mechanical option. This piece features a dial derived from the stunning tilework pattern of the Jameh mosque in Yazd, Iran. A honeycomb of turquoise surrounds a intricate central disc of orange, green, blue and grey. Thin white hands and black hour marking complete the design.

“Plunged into a sea of bright greenish blue, the mihrab hall in the JAmes mosque at Yazd boasts a series of ceramic medallions in a narrow range of white-turquoise-blue-brown shades that shimmer over a surface of hexagonal tiles of light, watery green.

The central point is the motif that generates the entire composition from it, in accordance with flawless geometrical plan and through two six-pointed stars, there radiates out a rigorous and compact design underscored by a delicately floral impulse based on a rhythmical twelvefold modulation. 

The combination of rationality and lyricism seems intended to remind believers that in order to be receptive to the invisible concealed behind the visible, one must rely as much on emotional as on intellectual faculties.”
